Do Nutt'...Even given that Nutt said these things... Do Nutt's comments have any merit at all?

Does Melton even know how Hillis acted in the locker room?

Does Melton have an axe to grind against Nutt?(he was a benched former starter)

All of these questions needed to, and should've been asked. Melton even admitted on the air that he didn't know Hillis very well, and yet there were no followup questions about how he arrived at his opinions from either of you... very disappointing.

I think if a person calls in to slam someone, even if they may be right, their motives at least need to be questioned.

Also, in the past, Melton admitted on a Razorback message board that he used Houston Nutt as a reference on his resume. That fact, at the very least, leads me to question his reasoning. He uses Nutt as a reference when he needs a job, and yet calls Houston's reference on Hillis BS.

I obviously don't think Melton is very credible on this issue. He has no inside information(he voluntarily admitted this), and there's a distinct possibility he's carrying a grudge.

Does either of you not find it odd that he waited until now - after he's out of school with a good job, after HDN is gone, after this debate has raged for years - to speak his mind? I do.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
